Case study reveals effective reduction of anxiety symptoms in hypertensive patients using relaxation and spiritual therapies.
Anxiety is one of the most common psychiatric illnesses and is a major health problem in society. Anxiety is characterized by feelings of fear and worry about the onset of a problem that exists in hypertensive patients, non-pharmacological ways to overcome anxiety arise with progressive muscle relaxation therapy and dhikr spiritual therapy. The purpose of this case study is to describe the stages of the nursing process, describe the implementation of progressive muscle relaxation therapy and dhikr spiritual therapy and describe the response and change to the decrease in anxiety symptoms. This scientific paper method is qualitative in the form of a comparison of case studies on client 1 and client 2 on March 26, 2024, March 28-30, 2024 and on April 1, 2024. The results of the 5-day evaluation showed that both patients experienced a decrease of 9 symptom signs in client 1 and a decrease in 10 symptom signs in client 2. It can be concluded that the results of the study show that progressive muscle relaxation therapy and dhikr spiritual therapy are effective in reducing the symptoms of anxiety and improving the client's ability to overcome anxiety. Advice for clients to be able to do the therapy that has been taught for 5 days of treatment to overcome anxiety if anxiety arises.
