Genome assembly reveals 15,489 protein-coding genes in Cryptus viduatorius, indicating its genetic complexity.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly froman individual female <ns3:italic>Cryptus viduatorius</ns3:italic> (cryptine ichneumon wasp; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Ichneumonidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 225.37 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.9%) is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 28.85 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 15 489 protein-coding genes.</ns3:p>
