A first-order pentaquark model is utilized to model the N(2270) resonance. The N(2270) is modeled as a weakly bound K* meson plus Σ* baryon molecular state. A first-order model predicts a set of spin and parity values that includes the 1/2¯, 3/2¯, and 5/2¯ values that are in agreement with the most recent experimental analysis of Ben and Wu. The predicted mass of 2435 MeV/c2 is about 8% larger than the experimental value.
