Analysis reveals benefits of air solar collectors for thermal comfort in green buildings, highlighting passive solar heating.
Passive solar heating and cooling play an important role in ensuring the thermal comfort of a “green” building. The paper analyses the certification systems of “green” buildings and proposes a calculation algorithm for taking into account solar thermal energy in the thermal balance of a building. The advantage of using an air solar collector over direct heating of the room through windows is shown. Using the example of the influence of climatic characteristics of six cities in the South of Russia (solar radiation and outdoor temperature) on the characteristics of passive solar heating of buildings through the windows of the southern facade, the great potential of solar heating of buildings in the southern regions of Russia, from Crimea to Vladivostok, is shown.
