Investigation shows differences in structural-phase state and non-metallic inclusions after heat treatment and controlled rolling of steel 10XСРВ, highlighting the role of carbide phase morphology.
The effect of heat treatment (HT) and controlled rolling with accelerated cooling (CR+AC) on the structural-phase state and non-metallic inclusions in 10ХСРВ (Russian name) steel has been studied. It is shown that the main differences in the structure of the studied samples are in morphology of the carbide phase. In steel, after controlled rolling with accelerated cooling, the carbide phase is represented by lamellar perlite, while after quenching and tempering, lamellar, grain-boundary and dispersed globular carbides are formed.
