Experimental evaluation of grouting materials reveals optimal mineral admixtures that enhance workability and strength.
The orthogonal experiments with three factors and three levels were carried out to evaluate the workability and mechanical properties of different prestressing duct grouting materials. The experiments also examined the effects of mineral admixtures on the performance of the grouting materials. The findings revealed that the water-to-binder ratio is a crucial factor in determining the fluidity and mechanical properties of the grouting materials. The incorporation of silica fume and fly ash helps to enhance the fluidity of the grouting materials and reduce bleeding. However, an excessive amount of fly ash can reduce early strength, while an overabundance of silica fume can decrease fluidity. The experimental results showed that when the water-to-binder ratio is 0.28, the fly ash content is 10%, and the silica fume content is 4%, the overall performance of the grouting material is optimal.
