Numerical analysis reveals increasing structural damage with deeper water under blast conditions, indicating design considerations for underwater equipment.
Underwater explosions have a major impact on the safety of underwater equipment. For reinforced cylindrical shells, study of structural shock response characteristics under the action of deep water explosion loads, and comparative analysis of the impact of different water depths on structural response properties. Numerical results show that when the water is relatively shallow, the explosion shock waves dominate the damage to the structure. As the water pressure increases, under the combined effects of shock waves and high water pressure, structural damage increases. This paper provides a reference for the design of anti-shock protection for underwater equipment in engineering.
