Observational analysis shows a positive link between green finance and economic performance in banks, highlighting intrinsic motivation's influence.
This study investigates the intricate relationship between green finance, intrinsic motivation, employee green behavior, and economic performance within the banking sector. The research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of organizational sustainability practices, by examining these variables and their interactions. Non-probability convenience sampling was used in the study. A self-administered questionnaire was used to obtain data from a sample of bank employees working in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The findings reveal a positive association between green finance with economic performance of the organization. The study also explores the moderating role of intrinsic motivation, demonstrating that employees with higher levels of intrinsic motivation might be less responsive to external factors like green finance. The research offers valuable insights for organizations seeking to enhance their sustainability performance. It emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach that considers both organizational-level strategies (green finance) and employee-level factors (intrinsic motivation). This study emphasizes how crucial it is to establish an environment at work that motivates employees to feel organically driven to boost the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
