Analysis suggests an earthquake precursor in Myanmar linked to tidal effects during solar events.
Paper tries to prove that earthquake M 8.5, 28.3.2005 Sumatra, occurring exactly 20 years ago, has been a precursor of earthquake M 7.7, 28.3.2025 Myanmar. First, the tidal origin of earthquake M 7.7 Myanmar has been identified by its position one day before the Partial Solar eclipse and position of M 8.5, 28.3.2005 Sumatra on maximum length of day graph showing its position 2 days after Full Moon. Author's previous experience with repetitions of earthquakes during 19 years Metonic cycle and 18.61 Moon nodal frequences presents the tool. Exact Metonic cycle frequency has the earthquake Sumatra M 9.1, 26.12.2004 and earthquake M 6.6, 27.12.1985. Disturbing factor of earthquake M 9.1 26.12.2004 caused triggering of earthquake M 8.5, 28.3.2005 for one year sooner, I.e. precursor has occurred 20 years ago. The reason is that extension for one year has caused the shift of original earthquake position 2 days after Full Moon to 1 day position before New Moon and Partial Solar eclipse. Created maximum of westward tidal torques of both earthquakes given by Moon and Sun position close to equator has been the reason of their large devastating effect in Myanmar and its precursor in Sumatra.
