Research demonstrates enhanced special endurance in athletes through targeted strength training, highlighting effective methods for skiers.
Nowadays, close attention is being paid to improving the training process in the preparatory period of 19-20 years-old senior ranks skiers-racers. At the present stage of training, it is necessary to search for more effective organizational forms, methods and means of educational and training work, actively attracting gifted athletes to replenish the ranks of high-class athletes. Athletes, coaches, and researchers need to search for reserves to improve sports performance through physical, special and strength training. This study aims to investigate the impact of the proposed methodology on the development of special endurance in 19-20 years-old senior ranks skiers-racers in the preparatory period of the annual training cycle. The following research methods were applied: study and analysis of special scientific and methodological literature; control and pedagogical testing; pedagogical experiment (formative experiment); analysis of athletes' training diaries; statistical processing of the research results (Student's criterion). As a result, it was found that at the general preparatory stage of the annual training cycle of 19-20 years-old senior ranks skiers-racers, it is effective to perform strength work aimed at developing hypertrophy, special strength work on roller skis and developing high-speed work. At the special preparatory stage of the annual training cycle for 19-20 years- old senior ranks skiers-racers, it is necessary to perform strength work aimed at developing maximum and explosive strength, interval strength work on ERCOLINA ski simulators, developing high-speed work using the interval method. As a result of the conducted research, the influence of the methodology developed by us for training 19-20 years-old senior ranks skiers-racers in the preparatory period of the annual training cycle on the development of special endurance of athletes has been proved.
