Observational analysis determines compressive residual stresses in hardened parts using Barkhausen noise, suggesting optimal modes of pendulum surface deformation.
Using the Barkhausen noise effect, the magnitude of compressive residual stresses of parts hardened by pendulum surface plastic deformation (PSPD) has been determined. The obtained results were compared with the results of numerical simulation calculations in the computer program Ansys 19.1. Using the software package Statistica 10.1, experiments to search for optimal modes of the pendulum SPD were planned, which provide maximum compressive residual stresses on the surface of parts.
