Theoretical study of contact pressure reduction during cold rolling of strips with transition to single-zone backward-slip process

Theoretical studies have established a significant decrease in the average relative stress on the contact surface with rolling rolls during the transition from double-zone schemes with asymmetric and variable back tension to single-zone cold rolling of strip backward-slip. This makes it possible to increase the service life of the rolling rolls by reducing their wear and probability of cracking.
