Experiment planning enhances magnetic properties in Fe-30Cr-16Co-1Sm alloy, suggesting superior performance.
Optimization of heat treatment of the anisotropic powder magnetic hard alloy Fr-30Cr-16Co-1Sm has been carried out by the method of experiment planning, using software packages Statgraphics and Statistica. After optimization the values of residual induction Br 1.252 T, coercive force НсВ 53.08 kA / m and magnetic energy product (ВН)max 36.8 kJ / m3 were obtained. Adequate regression equations of the dependences of Br, НсВ и (ВН)max on the parameters of heat treatment (holding time during isothermal thermomagnetic treatment (ITMT), cooling rate from the ITMT temperature to 580 °C and cooling rate from 580 to 500 °C) within the range of changes in the selected parameters in the corresponding phase spaces were determined. The investigated values of the magnetic hysteresis properties of the Fr-30Cr-16Co-1Sm alloy exceed the similar properties of one of the most common industrial alloys YuNDK24 (GOST 17809-72), while a lower cobalt content is more than 40%.
