Quantum-mechanical methods determine decay probability and energy distribution in excited nuclei, highlighting the Doppler effect's impact.
Quantum-mechanical method, which was proposed earlier for the theoretical description of the resonance scattering of the γ-quantum, was generalized with Doppler effect usage. New algorithm was elaborated and equations for the definition of the characteristic functions for the energy distribution, decay probability and decay functions were obtained. The calculations have been performed for the concrete case of decay of excited nuclei 14С, 40K, 87Rb, 238U and 232Th under room temperature taking into account Doppler effect and without it.
