Case report highlights severe malnutrition and duodenal dilatation in a young male, suggesting early intervention is critical.
A BSTRACT Idiopathic megaduodenum is an extremely rare pediatric disorder. We report a 14-month-old male with recurrent vomiting, severe malnutrition, and massive duodenal dilatation. Mechanical and functional causes were excluded and histopathology was normal. Roux-en-Y gastrojejunostomy with nutritional rehabilitation led to recovery. Early diagnosis and intervention are crucial for favourable outcomes.
