Mathematical model demonstrates dynamic simulation of diesel engines, suggesting improved reliability metrics.
To acquire the simulation data of the diesel cylinders and assess the reliability of the system, a mathematical model for the dynamic simulation of the diesel engines is constructed. A Single-Zone Model based on the volumetric method is employed. The in-cylinder mathematical simulation model of the diesel engine is established on the Simulink platform, and the formulas of the compression process, combustion process, expansion process, and air exchange process are derived. In combination with the NY6240ZJA diesel engine, variations of key parameters such as cylinder pressure, temperature, fuel injection, and combustion process are obtained. Through the actual diesel engine experiment, the actual data are acquired to verify that the working simulation model of the diesel engine is correct and feasible. The research findings offer a reference for the design of the diesel engine cylinders.
