This study investigates math anxiety among secondary school students, focusing on its prevalence and the role of demographic, educational, and environmental factors. Using the Scale for Assessing Math Anxiety in Secondary Education (SAMAS), we examined how gender, grade level, school location, and access to specialized math instruction influence students' experiences of math anxiety. By analyzing responses from a diverse sample of students across urban and rural schools, this research identifies key patterns of anxiety that vary with age and educational context. The findings underscore the importance of early intervention and structured support to mitigate math anxiety and promote positive engagement with mathematics. This work contributes to educational strategies aimed at reducing math-related stress, fostering inclusive math learning environments, and encouraging STEM pathways for a broader range of students.
