The school self-evaluation is a process that aims to improve the level of the provided education. Its implementation encountered significant obstacles. The purpose of this paper was to study the implementation of the self-evaluation in the secondary school units of the city of Giannitsa and to examine the resistances, the role of the headmaster of each school unit as well as the possible results that will occur. In this context, a primary research was undertaken using a questionnaire. The results of this research showed that there is a transitory correlation between the attitude towards change, the trust towards the Director and the attitude towards self-evaluation. Also, full mediation was observed between attitude toward change and attitude toward school unit self-evaluation in cases of negative and positive attitudes, but not in the neutral attitude.
