Observational analysis identifies training needs and preferences among trainers in vocational settings, suggesting a mix of synchronous and face-to-face approaches.
The aim of this study was to investigate the training needs of Trainers of Vocational Training Institutes, both public and private. In this study 102 participants participated, 58 men (56.9%) and 44 women (43.1%). A self-report questionnaire was designed to investigate the training needs, based on the existing literature. Correlations were applied and descriptive statistics parameters were calculated for all variables. The results show that the Trainers of the Vocational Training Institutes in this study agree to a greater extent with the implementation of face-to-face trainings or through distance methods using a synchronous method or a mixed system. In addition, satisfaction from attending previous trainings was positively correlated with the intention to participate in future trainings. On a practical level, it would be good if the results of this research were taken into account by those responsible for planning and implementing training activities involving Trainers of Vocational Training Institutes.
