Research analyzes sucrose's impact on in vitro growth rates in Belobulany grapevines, suggesting optimal concentrations for micro-propagation.
The paper presents the research results of the All-Russian Ya.I. Potapenko Research Institute for Viticulture and Winemaking on the creation of a protocol for micro-propagation and preservation in vitro collection of the autochthonous Don grapevine variety Be-lobulany. The research was carried out using methods generally accepted in biotechnology. For the first time, the effect of the micro cutting extraction site from a test tube plant on the rate of growth processes and safety has been studied. The morphological characteristics and preserva-tion of plants in the collection in vitro were stu-died when cultivated on a nutrient medium with different concentrations of sucrose and its complete absence. Sucrose changes the osmotic cha-racteristics of culture media and, thus, affects the growth rate of plants. Sucrose concentrations optimal for plant deposition and for mass repli-cation have been determined.
