Study reports on uvological parameters of grape varieties, highlighting sugar content and acidity.
The paper presents the results of a study of the uvological parameters of table and seedless grapevine varieties grown in the Don Ampelographic Ya.I. Potapenko Collection (Novocherkassk, Rostov Region) in 2024. The varieties were studied in a grafted culture (Ko-ber 5BB rootstock), the bush planting scheme was 3.0 × 1.5 m. The grape varieties were stu-died using generally accepted methods in viti-culture. The object of the study was 21 table and seedless grapevine varieties of different origins and ripening periods. The following varieties had very high sugar content in the berry juice: Berkarat, Nizina, Aku-Aku, Kishmish Uzbekistan. The titratable acidity of the studied varieties ranged from 4.2 g/dm3 (Vestfriziya) to 9.6 g/dm3 (Kishmish vatkana). The largest bunches were in 10 varieties, including: Bessemyannyj Magaracha, Kishmish Uzbekistan, Kishmish Luchistyj, Vitroblack, Bogotyanovsky, Rea, Aku-Aku etal. Very large berries (by diameter) were in 4 varieties – Bogotyanovsky, Rusmol, Vestfriziya, Victoria. The largest average berry weight was in the varieties – Bogotyanovsky (9.1 g), Vestfriziya (7.2 g), Rusmol (6.9 g), Dolchatyj (6.8 g). Among the seedless varieties, the largest berries were in the Kishmish Luchistyj variety (3.9 g). The highest tasting scores (on a 10-point scale) were received by the following varieties: Kishmish Luchistyj (9.6), Vitroblack, Bogotyanovsky (9.0 points). According to the conducted research, table varieties were distinguished according to a set of uvological indicators – Bogotyanovsky, Rusmol, Vestfriziya, Victoria; among seedless varieties – Vitroblack, Kishmish Luchistyj, Kishmish Uzbekistan.
