This article shows how improving pedagogical competence in parents and preschool teachers elevates spiritual education, indicating a need for systematic teacher development.
The article is devoted to the comprehension of the problem of improving the professionalism of teachers of preschool educational organisations in the process of their teaching spiritual and moral culture, as well as improving the pedagogical competence of the pedagogical process participants: managers, teachers and auxiliary staff of preschool institutions, and parents. The article proves that although the successful implementation of the task of spiritual and moral education of preschool children requires the creation of a whole set of conditions: organisational work, the creation of an effective system of interaction between kindergarten, family, Church and cultural institutions, etc., the key condition for success in this work is the activity of the teacher of spiritual and moral culture, as it is he who is responsible for the spiritual and moral formation of children. Therefore, first of all, the result of children's education depends on his personal qualities and professionalism. The article identifies the main components of professionalism of teachers of spiritual and moral culture: their true spiritual and moral development, benevolent attitude to children, high level of professionalism. On the basis of an innovative approach, the main forms of the system of continuous professional development of teachers who participated in the experimental work are presented: taking professional development courses before the beginning of the approbation work and creating a system of continuous professional development in the course of the pedagogical work itself by organising various forms of their training (continuous improvement of methodological skills, participation in the work of the methodological association of teachers of spiritual and moral culture and in scientific and methodological seminars, workshops, conferences). The article describes the educational environment for teachers, which contributes to their personal development and improvement of their professional skills.Quality spiritual and moral education requires active and pedagogically correct activity of all participants of the educational process, which, in turn, is the key to successful education of the child's personality. Therefore, during the approbation work it was necessary to solve the problem of increasing the level of pedagogical competence of all educational process participants: managers, teachers, even kindergarten auxiliary staff and, of course, parents. To solve this problem, a system of improving the pedagogical competence of all participants of the approbation work on spiritual and moral education was developed, and appropriate forms of work were selected.
