Theoretical analysis explores education policies and application models for sustainable development.
Sustainable development is a holistic approach that aims to develop environmental, economic and social dimensions in a balanced manner. Education and science are the basic tools for achieving these goals. While education enables social transformation by developing sustainable life awareness in individuals, scientific research supports the processes of producing and implementing sustainable solutions. In this context, education policies for sustainable development should be structured in line with environmental awareness, ethical values and lifelong learning principles. This study examines the reflections of sustainable development in the field of education and science within the framework of theoretical approaches and will offer solution suggestions through various application models. The concept of sustainable development has been evaluated holistically not only with its environmental dimensions but also with its social and economic dimensions. Education policies, curriculum structures, scientific research and the role of universities have been analyzed in this context; successful applications in Turkey and around the world have also been included.
