Experimental analysis reveals height ratio influences output performance in piezoelectric energy harvesters, indicating performance variations with wind speed.
The flow-induced vibration energy harvester can convert the vibration energy in the environment into electrical energy. In this paper, a double interference effect energy harvester is proposed, in which an interference column is placed upstream and downstream of the response column. Wind tunnel experiments are carried out to explore the influence of changing the height of DIC (110, 80, 50) on the output performance of the energy harvester at 0.5-5 m/s wind speed. The experimental results show that DIC-110 has a certain promoting effect on the output performance of the harvester, while DIC-80 and DIC-50 have a certain inhibitory effect on energy harvesting. No matter what kind of device, the vibration displacement, output voltage, and output power all reach the maximum at 5 m/s. The maximum output voltage without DIC can reach 1132.065 mV, the maximum output voltage of DIC-110 can reach 1184.273 mV, which is increased by 52.208 mV, the output voltage of DIC-80 is reduced by 75.93 mV, and the output voltage of DIC-50 is reduced by 197.675 mV. The research lays a theoretical foundation for the research of multi-column energy harvesters and provides technical support for improving the output performance of energy harvesting.
