Genome assembly comprises 1,489.35 megabases in Cordilura impudica, indicating potential insights into Scathophagidae.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from an individual female <ns3:italic>Cordilura impudica</ns3:italic> (scathophagid fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Scathophagidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 1 489.35 megabases. Most of the assembly (96.91%) is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 18.56 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.</ns3:p>
