Waqf is one of the instruments in the Islamic economy that can help deal with the issue of poverty as well as protect the economic interests of Muslims. Therefore, the involvement of Islamic banking institutions in the world of waqf has made people trust waqf institutions more and can help increase waqf funds to help improve society and the economy. A qualitative approach is used by using the documentation method to collect the necessary data and information related to waqf. The study found that this way of building up waqf funds in Islamic banking institutions can help promote corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, which Malaysian corporations should make their top priority. With this approach, we can show how banks, the government, and corporations can work together to develop waqf in order to create resources and economic opportunities.
