Qualitative and quantitative analysis reveals key factors impacting employee engagement, suggesting strategies for improvement.
This study was conducted at HS University in Hebei, China, aiming to investigate the influencing factors of employee engagement in universities and determine corresponding strategic plans for intervention, ultimately improving the level of employee engagement. Firstly, qualitative research methods were adopted. Data were collected in the form of interviews, and then reliability and validity tests were conducted. Secondly, on the basis of qualitative analysis, quantitative research data was collected. Based on the feedback from 372 valid questionnaires received, the results of multiple linear regression analysis were used to establish a conceptual framework and research hypotheses (human resource training, transformational leadership, leadership empowerment behavior, and affective commitment have a significant impact on employee engagement). After determining the research hypotheses, design a strategic plan scheme for the independent variables. Among them, 30 people were selected to participate in this strategic plan. Finally, a paired sample t-test analysis was conducted on the data of this set of strategic plans to reveal whether the strategic plans were effective. The research results show that significant changes have occurred in human resource training, transformational leadership, leadership empowerment behavior, affective commitment, and employee engagement before and after the implementation of the strategic plan.
