The Dermatology Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE) continues to serve as a vital benchmark in the assessment of UK dermatology trainees; however, recent declines in pass rates underscore the pressing need for more effective and structured preparation strategies. Our survey revealed persistent difficulties in key areas compounded by a lack of accessible, high-yield resources aligned with the examination blueprint. Respondents expressed a clear desire for comprehensive, exam-focused materials and interactive digital tools. To address these gaps, we advocate for closer collaboration between examination boards, educational bodies, and academic journals to co-create targeted, curriculum-aligned resources that better support trainee success.
