Each member of the U15 -- a Canadian association of fifteen leading research universities -- has a strategic plan regarding Decolonization, Indigenization, and Reconciliation, and has developed STEM teaching and learning initiatives to address their goals. We seek to better characterize the current state of Indigenization in STEM faculties across the U15 through an environmental scan to determine existing initiatives working towards achieving the goals of Indigenization. This scan includes, for each university, the strategic plan, the official website, and associated grey literature. Three overarching themes were identified in the strategic plans: (1) developing and implementing Indigenous Knowledges in curricula; (2) recruiting Indigenous students, staff, and faculty; and (3) supporting Indigenous students and staff to foster success. This environmental scan may provide examples of Indigenization efforts, allowing universities, on a national level, to take inspiration for future actions, with modifications for their specific situation, community, and place.
