Analysis uncovers similar elements in well-being models PERMA, FLOW, and IKIGAI, highlighting gaps in virtue and faith.
The topic of well-being is not a strange word in people's common sense. Positive psychology, religion, ethics, history and other disciplines are paying more and more attention to this topic, and there is no lack of theoretical and empirical evidence for the contribution of Eastern and Western resources. To date, the most prestigious are three modeling tools: PERMA,FLOW, and IKAGAI, marking milestones in the respective results of East and West. Contributions from the fields of ethics and religion need to be filled in because they share the same ultimate root: how to be better, how to achieve prosperity and happiness. Although the definition of happiness varies from person to person, the term prosperity has a more universal meaning. This paper reviews and contrasts the internal components of the classical model of PERMA,FLOW, and IKAGAI leading to human flourishing, and finds similar combinations and scattered items of all three, all missing faith and virtue. Before the well-being framework is finally established, the five constructs are integrated to build a new model of entering well-being -VFPFI. The acronym for Virtue,Faith,Perma,Flow and Ikagai completes an attempted strategy into well-being best practices.
