Abstract This study aims to analyze strategies aimed at promoting health in the school environment, based on the Problematization Methodology. The study was conducted in a school within the municipal education network of Santa Maria/RS, with the participation of 100 students and six teachers. To achieve the proposed objective, the process was structured according to the stages of the Arch of Maguerez. In the first stage (observation of reality), the aim was to identify which health-related topics the students wanted to learn about. Mental health emerged as the top choice, with 71.1% of the responses, followed by nutrition, with 68.7%. Thus, the second stage (key points) and third stage (theorization) focused on the planning and implementation of workshops centered on these topics of interest. In the fourth stage (hypotheses of solution), the students, together with the teachers, developed materials related to health, and in the final stage (application to reality), the event entitled “Health Day at School” was carried out. It was concluded that the Problematization Methodology was an effective and meaningful strategy for health promotion, as it fostered interactions among students, teachers, and professionals, and enabled the development of skills, autonomy, dialogue, and reflection.
