Performance analysis reveals accuracy variations in GPS and BDS pseudorange positioning methods.
As we all know, pseudo-range single-point positioning has the advantages of simple algorithm design, mobility and flexibility, and fast positioning computation, which is widely used in various military and civil fields, such as transportation, early warning, automatic driving, precision agriculture, and smart cities. It is easy to customize the positioning solutions for the needs of different application scenarios. The overall architecture and software design of pseudo-range single-point positioning were developed using the MATLAB language, and five positioning modes, including BDS, GPS single, dual frequency, and combined dual frequency, were implemented. By comparing and analyzing the positioning results of the five modes, it can be seen that the accuracy of the external coincidence is slightly higher than that of the internal coincidence. The accuracy of all five positioning modes can reach within 10m, with the best STD of the internal coincidence accuracy reaching about 3.3 m and the best RMSE of the external coincidence accuracy reaching about 3.7 m.
