Content analysis reveals the manual enhances foreign language instruction in Serbian, suggesting its educational value.
This paper analyzes the manual Worksheet Booklet: Serbian Study Materials for All 3 Levels, published by the private school GoSpeakSerbian. The aim is to provide a clearer assessment of its quality and its role in contemporary Serbian as a foreign language instruction. The study combines theoretical and content analysis methods. The findings show that the manual is designed as a workbook containing fifty lessons, each focusing on alternating grammar exercises, vocabulary building, and exploration of cultural aspects of life in Serbian-speaking regions. Although the manual is neither catalogued nor peer-reviewed, its quality merits the attention of instructors. Through its content and didactic-methodological approach, it proves to be a valuable teaching resource that: 1. Enriches the teaching of Serbian as a foreign language; 2. Demonstrates the professional competence and dedication of its authors; and 3. Reflects the progress of Serbian as a foreign language pedagogy - especially given that, in the past, it was nearly unthinkable for two or three authors to independently design, prepare, and publish such a manual.
