Joint agrarian business projects implemented based on public-private partnerships open the way to accessing global financial markets and contribute to the active attraction of foreign investments in agriculture. The tools of such partnerships play an important role in the development of rural areas, as they stimulate financial interaction, expand access to capital, and promote the revitalization of rural financial markets. However, the value orientations and interests of the State, banking institutions, and agrarian producers may not only differ significantly but also be mutually exclusive. Therefore, effective partnership interaction should be preceded by the alignment of key aspects of the projects, ensuring the alignment of the economic goals and objectives of all parties. Currently, there are no examples in Ukraine of successful implementation of key public-private partnership (PPP) projects in the agrarian production sector, which necessitates conducting thorough scientific research to develop an effective mechanism for interaction between the government and business. Such a mechanism should facilitate the integration of the country’s agro-industrial complex into the European economic and technological space. This scientific article provides a systematic review of the theoretical foundations of public-private partnerships, highlights the main stages of their development, and utilizes bibliometric analysis methods to structure and evaluate the existing scientific contributions on the chosen topic. Based on the conducted research, it has been demonstrated that PPP represents an effective form of infrastructure project implementation in such areas as public infrastructure, maritime transport, healthcare, education, agri-sector, and more. The article identifies key promising areas for further scientific research, particularly the optimization of the cost-quality ratio of innovative technologies, the development of smart infrastructure, the improvement of agrarian production, and the establishment of the «smart cities» conception.
