Analysis proposes a framework to evaluate UAS market demand and capacity, indicating the need for strategic adjustments.
The national project “Unmanned Aircraft Systems” faced the problem of the discrepancy between the technologies being developed and the real needs of the industry, due to difficulties in assessing market demand and the capacity of the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) market. This problem was noted by a number of experts in the field, including V. V. Shpak and A. S. Malkov, and was discussed at the AERONEXT 2024 forum, where the question was raised about the need to adjust the strategy of the national project taking into account various scenarios of UAS application. The article proposes a methodology for assessing the capacity of the UAS market in relation to certain types of economic activity.
