Analysis reveals the effects of surface preparation on heat-resistant nickel alloy turbine blades, indicating optimal approaches for maximum durability.
Various methods of surface preparation of turbine blades made of heat-resistant nickel alloys before applying of heat-protective coatings are considered. Features for the formation of the microstructure of the surface layer of the blades after various processing methods, affecting their performance, are revealed. It is shown that sandblasting before applying of coatings for single-crystalline blades is unacceptable, since it leads to degradation of the macrostructure. The most optimal methods for preparing of the surface of blades made of heat-resistant nickel alloys before applying of heat-protective coatings are proposed from the point of view of maintaining structural and phase stability and ensuring maximum service life.
