This article explores microreactor technology's impacts on safety transformation and process stability in high-risk chemical environments.
Microreactor technology, with its microchannel structure and efficient heat and mass transfer characteristics, has shown great potential in the safety transformation of high-risk chemical processes. This article elaborates on the basic principles and advantages of microreactor technology, and analyzes its applications in strong exothermic reactions, high-temperature and high-pressure reactions, and the production of highly toxic substances. Research has shown that microreactors reduce the inventory of hazardous substances through "small-scale effects", control reaction hotspots, and avoid the risk of thermal runaway; Its continuous and modular characteristics have improved process stability. In addition, this article explores the challenges and solutions faced by microreactor technology in industrial application scaling up. The promotion of microreactor technology will provide new ideas for the intrinsic safety transformation of high-risk chemical processes, which is of great significance for improving the safety production level of the chemical industry.
