This novel technique improves levitation force by optimizing interactions in high-temperature superconducting systems, suggesting more efficient magnetization methods.
In the high-temperature superconducting (HTS) pinning maglev system, applying the pre-magnetized HTS bulk magnets (BMs) can obtain greater levitation force. The current methods for getting BMs, are primarily pulsed magnetic field magnetization (PFM) and uniform magnetic field cooling magnetization (u-FCM). However, these methods require external excitation equipment, complicating the integration of the maglev system. This paper proposes a novel FCM method to obtain a BM of non-single magnetization direction without additional equipment. The results demonstrate that the distribution range and magnitude of the induced current in the BM are related to the pre-magnetization height. A field-field matching relationship exists between the trapped magnetic field and the external magnetic field after pre-magnetization, and the levitation force can be improved by 48.7% with optimizing this relationship. Through the derivation of formula and the magnetic flux penetration model, the variations in dynamic force are analyzed. The novel pre-magnetization scheme provides new perspectives on extending magnetization methods and enriching the electromagnetic-force behavior of BMs within permanent magnetic guideway (PMG) magnetic fields.
