This article examines translation challenges of anthroponyms in children's fiction, highlighting semantic content and stylistic loss.
The article examines the issue of adequate transfer of anthroponyms in children's fiction. Using E. Kästner's story "Emil and the Detectives" as an example, the semantic content of the anthroponyms Bremser, Nietenführ, Grundeis, Müller and Kießling is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the comparative analysis of the image of Aunt Martha in E. Kästner's works of different years and the inevitable loss of part of the stylistic meanings of her name when translated into Russian.
