Advanced AI optimized 16-channel coil improves flexibility and supports accelerated imaging across multiple anatomies.
Motivation: Demonstrate the innovative design of our lightweight, ultra-flexible, multi-channel, multipurpose coil, specifically optimized for low-field applications. Goal(s): Develop a modular coil designed to scan multiple anatomies. The coil should be ultra-lightweight, highly flexible, and support accelerated imaging across diverse use cases and anatomies. Approach: A flexible coil for imaging various anatomies was developed with a low-loss, low-noise structure and textile packaging. Its multi-channel layout supports parallel imaging acceleration in phase encoding. Results: Over 900 patients were scanned with the multi-channel coil on a 0.5T system, successfully imaging various anatomies, including the spine (CTL), knee, abdomen, pelvis, shoulder, lung, neck, foot, and ankle. Impact: A lightweight, flexible 16-channel modular coil scanned multiple anatomies —including spine, knee, abdomen, pelvis, shoulder, lung, neck, foot, and ankle on a 0.5T system. Its elements were strategically placed for optimal parallel imaging acceleration across various orientations.
