Analysis of MRI data predicts TLS presence in gallbladder cancer, suggesting refined prognostic strategies.
Motivation: Tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs) are associated with favorable prognosis and improved response to immunotherapy. However, accurately predicting TLS presence in gallbladder cancer (GBC) preoperatively has remained challenging. Goal(s): To explore the capability of MRI-based combined model for preoperative prediction of TLS status in GBC, enabling improved prognostic stratification and personalized management. Approach: Clinical and MRI data from 173 GBC patients were analyzed using a combined MRI-based model to predict TLS status preoperatively. Results: The MRI-based model demonstrated effective prediction of intratumoral TLS status, aiding in prognostic stratification for GBC patients. Impact: This MRI-based radiomics predictive model represents an innovative approach to enhance the accuracy of preoperative TLS detection in GBC, potentially facilitating more tailored patient management strategies.
