The approach minimizes estimation error in cyber-physical systems under stochastic deception attacks, ensuring connectivity.
This paper is concerned with the problem of distributed secure state estimation for cyber‐physical systems (CPSs) with a topology reconstruction mechanism against stochastic deception attacks. The stochastic deception attack is modeled with high randomness which is manifested as the ability to choose any target, any distribution, and any value of the attack. To counter such deception attack behavior, the distributed secure state estimation is proposed for CPSs with a novel topology reconstruction mechanism. The topology reconstruction mechanism, established on an attack detector, can isolate falsified data and ensure the connectivity of the communication network by considering the sensor under attack as a relay node. Then, the distributed secure state estimation is derived recursively through minimizing estimation error, and a Lyapunov function is advanced to obtain the proof and analysis of the stability of the proposed algorithm. Finally, numerical simulations of an industrial continuous‐stirred tank reactor are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
