Development of Artificial Intel-Ligence Technologies in China: Present State and Use in Trade

Artificial intelligence technologies are wide-ly used in the global economy. The goal of the present research is to identify the cur-rent state and development prospects of the artificial intelligence market in the Peo-ple's Republic of China (including the use of these technologies in trade). The paper demonstrates that China ranks second in the world in terms of artificial intelligence market size, but in the medium term, the United States will retain leadership in this area due to its existing advantages in fun-damental developments. By using artificial intelligence technologies, Chinese trading enterprises reduce costs, improve the quality of customer service and increase the effectiveness of marketing activities. Artificial intelligence technologies can be of great importance for managing China's for-eign trade within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. The main threats to the development of the artificial intelligence market in China are the shortage of spe-cialists and restrictions from the United States. The government and business in China are taking the necessary measures to counter these threats.
