Case report shows improvement of skin lesions in Hailey-Hailey disease with oral roflumilast, suggesting a potential treatment option.
Hailey-Hailey disease (HHD) is a rare autosomal dominant acantholytic disorder, presenting in adolescence or early adulthood with papulovesicular lesions that often coalesce into fissured or macerated erythematous plaques at the skin folds. The condition has a profound impact on quality of life and consensus on its optimal management is lacking. Herein, we report the first case of successful treatment with off label oral roflumilast.
