This research demonstrates palladium-catalyzed asymmetric reaction to create chiral esters, implying significant advancements in thioester synthesis.
Herein, we report a novel palladium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrothioesterification of alkynes under mild conditions, enabling the precise construction of axially chiral carboxylic thioester derivatives with excellent yields, regioselectivity, E/Z selectivity, and enantioselectivity. Disulfides and thiosulfonates were applicable, as well.
