This review highlights advancements in c-h activation for c(sp2) and c(sp3) bonds, pointing to novel enantioselective methods.
Cobalt (Co) is presently of greater interest to researchers exploring C-H functionalisation than noble metals like Pd, Rh, and Ir due to its accessibility, cost, and low toxicity. In this way, during the past few decades, the number of instances of co-catalysed functionalisation has grown dramatically. This review work focuses on the latest advancements in C(sp2)–H and C(sp3)–H co-catalysed functionalisations, including some recent applications on enantioselective transformations.
