This analysis explores interactions with blind and visually impaired visitors, suggesting innovative exhibition methods and collaboration with libraries.
The author for the first time poses the problem of expanding the capabilities of literary museums in Russia in presenting their collections to a special category of visitors – the blind and visually impaired. Specific examples are used to analyze the still not sufficiently representative experience of interaction between literary museums in Russia and people with visual impairments. Using concrete examples, the author analyzes the not yet suffi-ciently representative experience of interaction between literary museums in Russia and people with visual impairments. The relevance of developing special exhibition and cultural-educational projects using tactile ex-hibits, as well as audio accompaniment, including music, in addition to audio description is noted. Attention is focused on the collaboration of literary museums and specialized libraries for people with visual impairments in the implementation of multisensory exhibitions dedicated to literary heritage. A conclusion is made about the effectiveness and prospects of such cooperation based on the existing experience of museums and libraries.
