Literature review reveals significant positive effect of elderly care services on GDP in Inner Mongolia.
China's 14th Five-Year Plan clearly states that it will provide strong support for the high-quality development of elderly care services in the new era and new journey. Against the backdrop of the accelerating trend of population aging, the improvement of Chinese elderly people's cultural literacy and the weakening of family elderly care functions have rendered the traditional elderly care model unable to meet the needs of the elderly group. Therefore, how to create a better quality of life for the elderly in China has become a major challenge facing the country. At the same time, with the new dynamic changes in China's economic development and the adjustment of the role of GDP in measuring China's economic development, it is also important to measure the impact of the composition of the tertiary industrywith the elderly care service industry as a componenton China's GDP composition.Based on the above background, this paper adopts the literature review method and entropy weight method, takes Inner Mongolia as an example, collects and focuses on analyzing data related to population aging characteristics, elderly care service system indicators, and GDP composition from 2012 to 2022 from the National Bureau of Statistics of China and CNKI. The results of data analysis show that indicators related to the elderly care service system and population aging characteristics have a significant positive impact on the added value of the tertiary industry in GDP composition; meanwhile, the construction of the elderly care service system in Inner Mongolia has achieved better results in the comprehensive evaluation over the past years. In conclusion, this paper puts forward reasonable suggestions for the adjustment of elderly care service system construction in China's GDP composition and its future development direction.
