Cross-coupled control method improves performance in dual motor systems, demonstrating effective noise elimination.
This paper presents a cross-coupled control algorithm based on sliding mode control for dual-motor position control. Firstly, a coupled sliding surface is designed to take advantage of the fast response and strong robustness of sliding mode control. Secondly, the super-twisting algorithm is introduced as the reaching law, and a smoother function is used in the reaching law to improve the chattering phenomenon of the system. In addition, a linear extended observer is employed to transmit the motor status signal to the sliding mode controller to eliminate certain noise. Finally, a deadbeat current predictor is employed within the current inner loop instead of PID control to achieve better control performance. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed control method.
