Salvage excavation reveals Ottoman pottery in Rehovot prior to road construction, indicating historical significance.
In March 2017, a salvage excavation was conducted in Peqi‘in Street in Rehovot (Kefar Gevirol; Permit No. A-7948; map ref. 178537–75/644609–716; Fig. 1), prior to road construction and infrastructure works. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Avisror company, was directed by U. ‘Ad (field photography), with the assistance of M. Weinberger (area supervision), Y. Amrani and E. Bachar (administration), M. Mullokandov (preliminary inspection and GPS), R. Liran and M. Kahn (surveying), Y. Shmidov (drafting), C.
